On the first Friday of every month, downtown Mesa hosts Motorcycles on Main, a family-friendly motorcycle show. Attendants can browse motorcycles or bring their own while also enjoying live music.

Parks and Outdoor Recreation

Mesa’s location borders the Sonoran Desert, which means that it is close to a number of great outdoor attractions, although temperatures can reach over 100 degrees in the summer. The Apache Trail makes for a perfect day trip.

In their cars, visitors can retrace the path of Apache Indians and 18th century prospectors through the Superstition Mountains. Nearby Superstition Mountain Museum tells the tale of old gold mines in the area. The town of Wickenburg offers hiking and tours of the historic western town.
