Scottsdale’s Sonoran Desert opens the door to beautiful sunrises, and makes the way for hiking and other exciting adventures into an unpopulated “wilderness.”
Everyday in Scottsdale can be as full of activity or as laid back as you want to make it. Everyone’s passion flows in different ways, and you and yours can spend the day by the pool, find an outdoor adventure, go championship golfing, be pampered with luxurious spa treatments or enjoy upscale shopping.
When the sun sets, there is still plenty to do, including high class dining or finding your favorite happy hour and dancing ‘till the wee hours. In the downtown area alone, there are over 80 restaurants, and plenty of excellent clubs and lounges to enjoy the night life. The New York Times described downtown Scottsdale as “a desert version of Miami’s South Beach” and as having “plenty of late night partying and a buzzing hotel scene.
Sonoran Desert
The Sonoran Desert, known as the most beautiful desert in the world, is magnificent, especially if you have never seen or been near a true desert. The cactus and other plants bloom during certain times of the year making the landscape one-of a kind. Huge rocks and the sand provide the back drop for this beautiful painting that is the desert.
The desert environment is what provides the dry atmosphere as opposed to the humid conditions on the coasts.
Real Estate in Scottsdale
In a city the size of Scottsdale, you will be able to find whatever type of living space that you are interested in. Typically, you’ll find single family dwellings, town homes, condos, apartments for rent or for sale. The price range is up to you and your budget, but Scottsdale is passionate about being Green and Clean, and it shows in their neighborhoods.
Scottsdale covers a large area, and you may prefer to be in the city or along the desert. Single family homes will be close to $450,000 for a 2,400 sq. ft. open, plan home. This means three to four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, with a great room, in adobe style homes.
With the southern flair of a desert town, the landscaping is handsomely clipped. Paradise Valley offers a higher-level neighborhood with exceptional five to eight bedroom homes, and these homes are worth the time to see.
